Ahsan Akbar is an English writer, festival director and socio-cultural organiser of Bangladeshi descent. His critically acclaimed debut poetry collection, The Devil’s Thumbprint is taught at SOAS. He curated Bangladeshi writing for Granta and Tank, and guest edited Wasafiri’s Issue No. 84. He has written extensively for various newspapers, including Scroll, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Financial Times and The Spectator.
